Interesting pub..there is only so much, fruit and vegetables,fish, and cheese and tasty comestibles, that a person can look at and appreciate in a day. And hence a visit to place ...while those who appreciate the finer points of walking around a food market wobble about. It was very welcome...the Doom bar was good, not sure about the eclectic collection of craft beers on sale, but i was happy to drink a well made well made beer.
Lovely pub, great location close to London Bridge Station. Nice selection of ales. Fish and chips was good, a bit light on the mushy peas though!
First visit October 2017 had a few drinks at the bar. Friendly bartenders and just a lovely spot. Came back for more drinks October 2018 and had drinks downstairs. Very cozy, next time we are back going to eat downstairs in the little rooms. Food looks great! Will update next year.
Just next to Borough market it is a good alternative to have a seated meal or drink after visit in a traditional like English pub. Nice food, we enjoyed the salted beef sandwich. Fast service and lots of more space downstairs but in lunch time it wasnt crowded.
Love it! Don't usually write reviews but felt this place needed it. After a poor experience with a member of staff the manager Mitch took full control of the situation and did her utmost to ensure myself and my parents enjoyed the rest of our visit. She is an amazing manager an a incredible asset to the pub. The entire time we were there we could see her handling everything with poise and professionalism. Only because of her will we return to the pub when at first it looked as though we were going to walk out now it's a place I will recommend. The woman deserves a raise and a day off. Big thank you to you Mitch. Your a star..n these 5 stars are for u. The food was great too.
